I hope money's not an issue.

Start off with an AMD Athlon 64 FX 3200.
I'm not sure about motherboard, probably abit or asus.
Then get either the ATI 9800 Pro or the geforce fx 5950 Ultra.

I'm no expert, so offer your suggestions everyone!

$1500 just might be a down payment on,"the biggest monitor".

with your buget this is the nicest I can come up with.

cpu- AMD Athlon 64 3200+ $270
mobo- ASUS K8V deluxe $142
vid card- Sapphire 9800xt $413
ram- Corsair xms 512mb (2x 256mb) ddr400 matched pair $133
case- Thermaltake Xaser III lanfire w/ 420watt psu $113
cooling- thermaltake Venus 12 cpu cooler $28
hard drive(s)- 80gb serial ATA WD hd $85
media drive(s)- 2x LiteOn 52x24x52x16x cd-rw/dvd-rw (black) $110, floppy drive (black) $7
monitor- NEC FE990-BK 19" CRT Monitor $255
keyboard/ mouse- logitech cordless MX duo keyboard/mouse $72

total $1628

EDIT: sry I thought the $1500 was for the entire system not just the monitor. What is your total buget and I'll create the true "fastest home computer system" with "the biggest monitor".

I think he is just wanting to buy some Screens not the rest of the hardware. I would recmoend some Flatscreens from Viewsonic with a 16MS response and have them linked for widescreen, make sure to get the ones with the low profile sides so there isnt much of a gap. I dont think you can get 4 of them for $1500 but you should be able to get 2 of em.

You could custom order a Dell, then with any money left buy tons of games and software.
