Go with the ATI 9800XT or just wait for the new cards to come out...IMO you should just wait a month and get the newer cards which are suppost to be up to 2x faster than the current 9800Pro.

Also the 9800XT currently beats the 5950 Ultra

EDIT: BTW I like Sapphire and Gigabyte...
There u go...check out those links to see top graphics cards...seriously though I would wait for new cards to come out.

it looks like the new nvidia card coming out is going to blow away ATI, but I haven't seen the specs of their new card.
Definately wait a month or two for the newer card, or you'll end up having to buy a new card later on a lot sooner than you thought.

video card postponed!
motherboard postponed!
cpu ......... postponed as well!
ram....... this too!
harddrive....postponed!
if all were to be updated after the updated hardware stuff comes out every few months/years then it too will be no good/match for the coming newer hardwares.
do u think this times newer hardwares in next few months will stick around 2/3 yrs or more?

These new hardware advancements are pretty major. DDR has been around for years now, so I'm guessing DDR2 will be around for at least 2 or 3 years before another major change. The same goes for all the hardware, except maybe the video card, because of the competition between ATI and Nvidia.

Another example - how many years has it been since we switched from 16bit to 32bit? We'll be with 64bit for quite a while.
(Why don't they just skip to 256bit and forget about trying for 128bit )
