multi function centres

Hi Guys,
Was wondering if anyone could give me a Heads Up on what is a reasonable priced entry level brand of multi function centre?
Also any brand that should be steered clear of.
It would be inkjet not laser and there doesn't need to be a phone on it just fax/printer/copier/scanner and the ink cartridges need to be reasonable priced and preferably be able to take refilled cartridges.

cheers Mark

Thanks John,
Have checked EPSON (STYLUS) out and they do look ok.
Only one thing I noticed is they all have software fax.Is that a standard thing with these MFC's and do they work ok?
Also noticed that Brother has some good deals on at the moment where I am but I know nothing about them. Are they any good?

cheers Mark

I think brother is pretty solid stuff.

As far as software fax I have used 'winfax" and it is ok.

The only thing I never quite figured out was how to just leave it on all the time without it interfering with normal phone calls etc.

I would just turn it on when I knew someone was readyto fax me something etc

Thanx again John,
Yeah I have used winfax also, turning it on like you when you know there is one on the way.

I would like it to stay on when I was out but that would entail leaving the PC on which for me is not an idea I'm all that keen on.

It does seem with the ones I've just looked at (epson and brother) that even going up towards the top of the range they still have PC fax.I guess that means I would need to purchase a fax machine if I'm set on not using a software one.

cheers Mark

I just love my HP 6110! Does everything I needed it to and more. I bought it on sale(price match + 10%) at Circuit City for $267.00.
