When did Dell start Charging taxes for California home accounts??

I've always paid tax, and I'm in WA. It's never more than $8-$20 depending on the total of the order.. I think it has to do with some of the parts inside?

I live in CA and never paid sales tax on orders from Dell Home. My last order was in December. Today, I wanted to purchase a digital camera and I noticed that they will charge taxes on my order.

They charge tax for certain states. I know Texas and Florida are charged. I guess CA is included.

As far as I know they've always charged tax in California. At least, if you were a SMB. Actually I helped a neighbor order a system more than 6 months ago and he was charged tax as well.

juang, this is true with SMB, but Dell Home never charged taxes before.. I have been a customer since ever. it seems that for some reason they started charging taxes.

As of Feb. 9 Dell Home started charging tax in CA.
