Ebay Buyers - 35% CASHBACK From Microsoft

I read this thread yesterday and it seemed like a good deal:

35% cash back from eBay purchase using Microsoft Live Search *No selling!* - Page 109 - SlickDeals.net Forums

Freaking 35% back from Microsoft! The catch is, it only works on certain items, but it does cover some large purchases like PS3s, Xbox 360s, etc. It will only work on buy-it-now listings however. I would read the thread I linked to above for comments from others who have tried this.

Comments from people who did this deal and examples of deals:
Ebay Buyers - Possible 35% CASHBACK from Microsoft - [H]ard|Forum

Here are the terms and conditions for the offer from MS:
Live Search cashback - Live Search

Just wanted to pass this along since I know some people use ebay alot. This has the potential to save hundreds of dollars.

This seems to be completely legit. I used the links provided and purchased an eVGA GeForce GTX 280 from a seller yesterday. Got the notice of cashback received from eBay, went through the registration process, and received notification from MS that my cashback is pending with an 8/31/08 availability date. The card will ultimately cost $480 and change.

So will you get the cash back to your Paypal account or credit card?

It gets credited to your PayPal account. I believe you can also request a check, just like a mail-in rebate, but that takes longer.

Wow 35%! But I've read that the cashback varies, some people get 15%, some 25%.

35% Cash Back Offer

This seems to be a good offer for anyone who tries to buy products through Microsoft live search. This option will increase the sale for the retailers.
