[Ecc2]Stampeding Cows and Gauntleteering Arsians

HI folks,
The Ecc2 project has been pretty quiet lately. Most teams seem to be on cruise control.
Luckily (for the thrill-seekers among us) this might be about to change.
Both the Dutch Power Cows and Team Vodka Martini have decided to start internal competitions during the month of August.
These will pit "subteams" against each other. the objective is to produce as many dp between the start and end dates (In this case the month of August).
The "Subteams" for these competitions are different from their permanent DPC and TVM equivalent. They are formed for the duration of the competition only.
The Ars tradition has always been to give each subteam a theme (Although this is purely optional).

What has this all got to do with TechIMO you ask me?

well as the stats keeper of the Ars gauntlet I would like to invite you to form one (or several) subteams and join in.
XDC has decided to contribute in the DPC stampede and all top 4 teams will be increasing their production a bit for the duration of these challenges. It makes sense to see TIMO also boost their numbers.

What would I need to do?

Very little state the name of your subteam and your intention to participate in this thread. As soon as the gauntlet page is ready I will post the link here. [Note:There is no need to join TVM the gauntlet stats will be cross-team should (a) TIMO subteams be created]

What is the point?

First this is a bit of frendly fun. a way to boost interest in the project and compete between and within teams. Hopefully our frivolous obsession wiith stats will bring an end of the project that much sooner (a bittersweet prospect for all ecc fans)

Cheers,
Marc

Sounds like a deal to me Marc! Thanks for stopping by to invite us to participate.

The TVM stats page has been a favorite of mine to watch the ECC2 stats, so it will be nice to see more races.

I have seen other teams compete in freindly month-long competitions to stir up extra interest, and ECC2 could sure use a boost.

Great way to convince your buddies to try a DC project for a few weeks to boost the stats and perhaps hook 'em for life!

BTW, I take it that we do not have to change our cracking IDs to participate, it's all done as a "side stat" combining the new output of the individuals at the TVM stats box, correct?

How about it guys, shall we form a sub-team or 2 so we can crack the pants off the 'Cows and Arsians for a while?

How 'bout some flashy names like the TIMO Beefeaters and such.

viztech,

No need to change anything just to choose your subteam and join. I'm not sure what kind of size to expect from subteams this time around in the past we have seen teams anywhere from 250dp/day to 5000dp/day.
It is likely that there will be a team of comparable size however large (or small) your subteam(s) is(are).

Cheers,
Marc

Marc, will your stats be covering all subteams or just those of Ars and TIMO? This should be fun.

FK,

Might as well cover them all. I'll start working on a template tomorrow.

Cheers,
Marc

Maybe Timo would like to come to the darkside of XDC to see the light.
