There is another GUI client posted by XsCode at eCompute now...

It's not as flashy, which I personally like. It can control multiple remote clients as well. It requires you run CLI version CE.

You might try that one samwichse, I haven't bumped it out to my linux box yet, but I think you might have less trouble with it.
