[ECC2] Longest run w/o a DP

Check this out. A 67+ hour run w/o a single DP!

K6-2/500
NT 4.0
96MB
1.6GB HDD
G100 4MB
Creative 16-bit Audio
AMD NIC

This thing used to be running D2OL, slow as crap mind you, but it ran it. I think it put out a whole 5 cands or conformers or whatever they're called.

This is actually the second run @ ECC2, the first time was 30+ some odd hours w/o nary a frickin' DP either.

That does seem a little extreme. Maybe it will puke out some points after a few more days According to the ECC2 site, some of the DP's are really hard to compute, you may be on the winner DP or something.

You better watch your mouth!

This is what I got from JBerg:

Zap the PLIST file and relaunch the client.

I've convinced the math guy (Chris) that there is a problem where the
client occasionally gets into a loop, traveling the same ground over and
over. He's working on fixing the randomizer right now. The only cure for
it is to trash the PLIST file when it happens.

Jay

Hopefully that fixes it.

Good tip!! I will have to watch that too, though I can't imagine it being as common as the D2OL loop issue.

I have one of those also. Except mine is underclocked to 333 (old board ). Did terrible with UD, ok with ECCp. Judging by the stats it appears to work decent with AIDS. Look at my cpu hours :

(btw, that second node I have listed was just added and hasn’t really affected my stats much, yet)

Or maybe everyone below me just started or quit, don't know.

Neo may be a good one to try on that ER.
(or is that where the 1 point you have came from )

Hey! You edited while I was quoting!

Oh, now. Don't give up yet.

Hopefully the 'dplist' fix works.

I haven't given up on my K6-2 either, just going to replace it with a Duron 1.2 this weekend .

I'd offer you the carcass, but it's not near as purtty as the ones in your herd. It's been in the garage . I need to run it through the dishwasher before I give it away.
