When do you think we'll see a Blu-ray or HD drive, that can write, around 100$?

At the $100 price point, maybe 2008, assuming we can get past the format war. While they have been largely ignored on the conumer market level, plenty of people are more interested in data storage than entertainment. Now if the drive manufacturers would just get with the program.

AFAIK, you will need a special driver and a specific Japanese version of WinDVD to watch HD DVD movies on a Windows computer using the Xbox 360 external HD DVD drive.
