Circuit City Nikon D80 269.00 !! (listing error)
On Resellerratings.com homepage in the upper right corner is the click through special that advertises the Cicuit City Nikon D80 for 269.00. This is a 900.00 Body alone, but when you click the link is takes you to a different product?.
I'd call foul, but just about every camera website is offering the same click through link with the same wording and yet every single site that carries the link takes you to a different product ( GPS Car Item ).
What gives?. I'd buy 4 D-80's right now for that price if I could get the link to direct to the REAL product.

Yep, that would be one great price.
A search for D80 body only comes up with a special that they are running for $70 off, but it puts the price at $929.99, not $269. |

If I could just get it to load that page just once !! at the circuit city price advertised I'd be set.
I've clicked the link on 20+ sites and I'm unable to get the correct redirect, I'm betting CC is wondering why so many people are looking at the GPS unit.
I've got to get that correct page to load !!

Good luck. I think what they did was mis-post the product with the link. IOW, it think that they meant to show the GPS unit on the referring pages, instead of the D80. The GPS unit comes up at $279, which is a lot closer than the D80 is going to show....
Of course, if you do manage it, you'll want to let us know. |

That's why I joined !!, to help others.......because:
My wife was going to buy a Nikon D80 last night, so she refers me to a place on the Internet with incredible deals.....so I started the search for the company here @ RR and the sirens went off.
Red Flags, poor feedback and untrusted shoddy business practices from this seller and many others offering nearly the same prices. Reseller forum posters have weeded out the alternates she was willing to look twice at.
THANK YOU.
YOU people just saved me atleast 700.00 and atleast 3 weeks of headache and credit company reversals. I OWE YOU guys and will become a valued member in return.

When I was shopping around for my Nikon D-50 I must have looked at a dozen sites and called at least that many on the phone!
Most of the cheaper deals were with NO genuine Nikon battery or charger. Even some had some aftermarket lens. Most of the best deals were on the east coast but ALL were a ripoff due to the lack of full US warranty and the generic/off brand accessories that the camera came with.
One Call and Camera World WILL do you right and give you discounts on TRUE genuine accessories and items you need.
When I purchased my Sony Wega 42" Plasma HDTV in Nov. 2002 the retail at Fry's and Best Buy was $7500 + tax. One Call sold it to me for $5900 delivered-no tax. Brand new in box, full US warranty and shipped to my doorstep!
If the deal sounds too good to be true there is a reason!

false advertising?
Circuit City advertised a $269 camera. Shouldn't they have to uphold their promise? I know the link goes to the wrong place, but the advertisement specifically says a Nikon D80 body for $269 @ Circuit City. Is there any way to push this issue?

You can not "push the issue." As per Circuit City: Quote: |
