K6-III+ 450 - $40 free ship.

Don't know how great a deal this is today, but if you have a use for the absolute fastest Socket 7 chip made because of the (at the time) huge 256k of L2 cache, check it out. It was a decent over clocker to boot. Only certain socket 7 motherboards support it because of voltage. I used to have one running on an FIC VA-503+ at 560MHz (112x5). I think I eventually burned the board up by trying to make it run at 124MHz FSB, but the CPU could handle it.

Your BIOS has to support it. Check this compatibility list: http://compatlist.k6plus.com/

I've still got two K6-2+ systems. Both are hard at work collecting dust I tried donating them... but the local goodwill won't even consider them because they're "too old". Hogwash. They're still perfect for email/internet and office apps. Oh well...

yeah, i just took one apart, it was my daughters... running 192 of pc100 ram.. 13 gig hd, PCI video card,... AND Win. XP pro !! .. believe... or not....

kinda slow... but it worked for the internet, Road Runner worked great on it..
