>Well, I believe that I had that job before they started the points system, so I'm not sure what they used to calculate the points for jobs
if that job was before the points system, you probably got around 10,000 pts in the mollies completed column. most every job completed fast or slow, returned 9,000-11,000 points.
it was for reasons like that - how do you reward people who do the longer running mollies? - that the points system was adopted.
under the old system, if someone ran 5 fast mollies that take 1 hrs each, and another person ran 1 mollie that took 96hrs to finish, the guy who ran the 5 fast mollies would have about 40,000 more points which wasn't very fair.

What I meant by points, was just that, "points" not mollies. I am under the asumption that all jobs previous to the implementing of the points system were given "points" per job. Am I right?
I know that on average every job gets aroun 10,000 mollies, but I'm wondering how they calculated the points for each job for the ones that were completed prior to the start of the points system.

Before points, it was simply molecules.

Longest one in recent history:

**cough**
Sorry, but I've just recently botched a re-format, and I inadvertantly deleted everything I planned to save, including info on the last 1000+ jobs I completed. I'll have to check my remote's queue and see how long that old P3 600 is taking on it's current iobs. (I know it hasn't returned a single result in like 2 weeks, but that could just be because my sister keeps turning it off!)
I swear, I'm going to disconnect her power switch from the motherboard next time I go over there....

Oh, and I THINK the longest molecule I ever processed on my main rig (Barton at 2.3GHz) was 4 days, and I do believe it was an 821P. That was before the points system, like 2 weeks before. I remember thinking that if I had just checked the beta box, that I would have oodles and oodles of points from that job...

That is still my most points job. 135.75 hours(5.6Days) on an XP1600 Calculated rating 129, accurate since it's almost always on 131 in the job info box.

Here's the most point's I've recieved for a job. This is on a 2.3GHz Barton:
23-JUL-03 12:06 1e7u-q1 m7490 259 9900 193385 13345 j786
This also appears to be my longest running job according to statsquery.
