[FaD] More Bickering, Please!
I think my point has been proven. I made a comment the other day about how all the bickering just leads to more exposure, which hopefully leads to more recruiting. We've had more bickering and whining and complaining in the past few days, than we've had in months. Now, look at all the new members lately! There's been like 7 or 8 new members in the last few days. If it is because of the bickering... I say, "Bring it on!" Personally, I'll just ignore it all. But if it brings new members, than GREAT! Besides, what's wrong with a little friendly competition? I also made a comment the other day about how I would go with whatever team has the most potential for recruiting more members. Well, I think that I've made up my mind. I think I'll stay with TechIMO for now. I wish the best of luck to team XPC. Maybe if I get some more cows running, I'll join both teams in the future. I like what I saw at XPC, but TechIMO just feels more like my home. Good luck over there, guys!

Nice post. I feel the same way whine and complain and you will get your way.
Me (Dedicated ECC2 cruncher) one other reason that I will never crunch for FAD.
Have a nice day

That's a very interesting perspective Idigguns - and I fear it is also a good indication as to where this forum is going in the future.
I have participated in DC projects under the TIMO name since day #1 for the site. I've visited a lot of different DC forums, and have seen a lot of people and projects come and go. For me, TIMO has without a doubt been the best place to be - mostly because of the lack of people with the perspective you just outlined above.
I hope I'm wrong, but given the amount of support that this site has given to FAD in the past few days, I can only assume that there has been a fundamental change in how Scott & the mods want this forum to run. Bickering, complaining, and breaking the rules is now not only tolerated, but is supported and rewarded. (nice banner at the top of the page - too bad the "quiet teams" haven't been given equal exposure).
I wish you good luck with your team - your cause is noble, but I just don't like the "in your face" aproach. If that is the direction this forum is going, I'll need to find a new DC home.

I agree about the banner. If we want to be fair about it, the other teams should get one also.
I also think all this back and forth may have broken the stats server. The CGI version broke on the 12:00AM update and the static HTML version hasn't updated since the 6:00AM update.

"We all need a little controversy, cuz it feels so empty without me"
While I believe we have the right to do daily stats, I also believe much bending backwards has been done to appease us. Get your TC's to politely ask Scott for equal banner time.

It's good you got new members, but also consider the people who wanted to join but are now turned off. I've been wanting join, especially since all those people bailed out on the techimo team. But, I can't join if you're going to antagonize others or disrespect the forum. I know you're probably kidding, but it would have been better left unsaid...or a least not starting a thread about it.

Personally I think the best thing for the FaD team is to just lay low for a bit...we got the daily stats threads back. We got what we wanted...and we should be happy with that.
I also think the idea of a sub-forum just for stats (for All DC Projects, not just FaD?) is a good idea. We can have our banter/friendly competition in the stats sub-forum and the other teams can post their daily/weekly stats if they so desire...meanwhile the main DC forum is left uncluttered with all the stats posts...and is there for those that have actual questions about their respective DC Project.
Hmmmm...think I'll post a poll...
