[FaD] Stats for 8-24-2003

I enjoy being a member of Techimo and have spent at least a couple of hours on here browsing through the various threads every day since I joined about a year ago. During this time I have learnt an awfull amount of stuff that I had never given any thought to in the past that includes years worth of experience that you can never get from a book.

I became a member of the FaD team after seeing an advert from MickWish (who else ) since then, I have witnessed the teams progress from the 12 of us when I started to becoming the second team in the world for our commitment and crunching ability.

I am extremely proud to be a member of this team and to be a part of something that spans thousand of miles involving people of all walks of life (I work in a factory making cardboard boxes for example). I love this team, I love the way my comments are treated with the same repect as everyone elses and I love the way this team interacts with each other with friendly banter and tongue in cheek humor (excluding my sick jokes of course).

It would be a real shame to leave Timo, but if a compromise is not met about our daily stats threads, then I would drop everything to move with this team if it goes that far.

In closing, as davidamarkley says, I'm not saying anything more on this until we know what the outcome is and/or we have a response from our TC or mod etc.

I'm curious...implexant, who the hell died and made you spoke person for all the other DC teams...and for everyone else here at TechIMO?

I like the idea of having a poll and letting the masses decide.

As has been said before...if the other teams are satisfied with their numbers and how their team is doin, that's fine. But the FaD team is NOT satisfied with just crunching the mollies...we're very spirited, competitive and we want our numbers to grow! We should be allowed to make our team the best it can! If not...then I'm not sure I see the point of even being associated with TechIMO.

Well.. we have a very good UD team and although they are quiet now, when they were "LOUD" they were not posting daily team stats everyday. Most of their posts were like challenging posts from members to other members, general milestones and mostly configuring stuff or just talking about the project. The project grew because the Team Captain (I think it was surreal) knew how to attract people WITHOUT POSTING DAILY STATS EVERYDAY.

So other teams might be quiet but that doesn't mean they are not spirited and competitive (as Gouki said).

Like I'm in a couple of projects here (including FaD) but I don't want to see daily stats threads everyday!
For genome and ecc2 I JUST GO TO THEIR STATS PAGES.! Heck I still go to the find-a-drug page every now and then to see how many positions I have slipped.!!!!

You won't see me posting a thread for each DC project with a link to stats pages ... I just go there myself.

About this thing getting out of hands, it is simply because you won't follow the rules already met with the team captains from the DC teams we have here.!!

I don't know what you will do and it would be a shame to part ways with TIMO. But like I said earlier: "do what you want, I don't care.!"
