Howdy, 311Sam!

Welcome to the team.

You don't know anything about rubber duckies, do you?

Never mind, just an in-house joke.

Cheers
Mick

Wow thanks for the welcome!

But there is one problem. Im having some cooling problems. I have some fans coming in the mail but i dont think that it is going to solve my problem.

I live with my grandparents right now cause they are close to the tech school that im going to. The thing is that they dont believe in using the air conditioner at night and there are no windows in my room. It very quickly gets to over 90 degrees im my room at night.

I ran FaD the other night with the case off and the system temp was 41 and the cpu temp was 58. Thats not that bad but it is very dusty in this house. Mainly because i have to turn the ceiling fan on high which keeps crap suspended in the air, which then gets sucked up in my computer. My lan Li case has a filtered intake so it is not a problem but i dont what to always operate the computer with the case off and watch it fill up with crud.

I have a sk-7 heatsink and i've got a smart fan II on its way (76cfm) for it. I also have a 40cfm case fan coming in to replace one of my fans at the top of the case.

If i cant keep my system temp below 42 i dont think i will be able to safely run this FaD program. I may even get one of those tornado 85cfm fans.

But By January I'll have my own house again and i dont mind keeping it freezing.

Any one got any high cfm fans that they could "donate"

Sam
