[FaD] First dedicated FaD cruncher!

w00t!

After an admittedly short trial of Folding@Home ( 2 jobs ), I pulled F@H from my new comp's Startup Group and quit running it. I may try it some a little later, but the project fails to enthuse me.

So, the computer is now a dedicated FaD cruncher, my only one w the others having to split crunching time with UD.

Computer should be a screamer. Don't have it where I want it yet. But it is running at 1992MHz. It is an XP1700+. I have others very similar, and if they are any indicator than I have at least 300MHz left to go before settle in there.

my XP2100 will run at 2200 with no errors, but I prefer running it at 166 with the memory. (so 2.16Ghz) guess the XP1700's are better for OC'ing.

the next chip I'm wondering if my 8KHA+ board will allow me to chage the multipliers, if so I'll be adding another 2100@whatever I can squeeze out of it.

Keep up the great work Zippy (yer other name is harder to make sure I get it right )

It's nice to have so many dedicated crunchers on the team

(btw, with all the new additions to the team we are top output for assigned teams (meaning no None). It still amazes me how fast we are moving.

Nice comp!! How many jobs should that pull in 12 hours on average?

Well, in the 9 hour span between leaving for work this morning, and when I came home, it did 6 jobs.

I have a lot of TBreds, but they have to split time w UD as I said.

So, there was 39 jobs done between leaving for work and coming home. This machine did 6 of them. In other words about 15% of the period's output. There is 15 or 16 machines running here.

Time to go into the BIOS and crank that machine up!

PS Thanks, you guys. Pedalling as fast as I can.

Yep, another cruncher. This one doesn't have to share cycles w another DC client.

Starting to get it dialed in.

It's now at 2154 MHz - 215*10 @1.5v
Temps are only 47C under load, so this cpu/board combo may have a lot more room yet.
