[FAD] 1.21c is out (BETA USERS)

(BETA)Before you go hitting the recieve button, it doesn't work, and I have 38 in queue to prove it.

http://forum.find-a-drug.com/viewtop...=1169&start=15

There is the thread they can be downloaded from, and I don't recommend installing the new THINK.EXE if you have any jobs running, (even if you shut down the client) When you start the clients back up they will have new nodenames, (they all start new jobs) I've let THINK know about this, and hopefully it will be fixed soon, but the new server.exe is nice, (just don't pay attention to # of stalled jobs, it's wierd almost all clients that don't have a local server show stalled 5 minutes after they send in info)

No, That means it won't download for beta users until 2morrow at 11:30 GMT.

Problem with that is if you queue wasn't refreshing (as mine wasn't) it won't allow you to recieve it, unless you shut down the server, start it back up then hit recieve (but that's after 2morrow) for now you can get the client from above.

There is a problem with think.exe starting all new jobs even if you had 1 running on that client (something to do with client names)

It now tells you in Queue wether a job is finished, sent etc (as well as 2, 02 and 5)

I'm currently running 1.21c server and 1.21b think since I don't want to reset a job that's at 94% 290+ hits. Hopefully the name issue is solved 2morrow, but the new queue i found runs a lot nicer then the 1.21b (and it updates) Also stalled jobs is not correct it seems to consider it stalled if it doesn't check in every 5 minutes, and some slower machines don't make progress fast enough to check in that often.

What a mix, wizzard! But at least THINK is serious about testing his betas, and is also willing to see what works/doesn't.

I take it the one you have is only the windoze 1.21c beta. The linux one hopefully will be out tomoorow as well, and may even let us mix linux/windows clients on one server! At least, I know THINK was aiming for that.

Hopefully this beta upgrade will be less painful than 1.21b, which really messed up the queue server (had to reinstall it in the end to get it to upgrade). With each beta they are getting better and better, IMO.

Cheers
Mick

Ok, update from Keith, You aren't supposed to run the think 1.21b with 1.21c server , however once each job finishes you'll have to stop each process, Then when they are all stopped, reset all jobs showing green in the queue (status 5) then shut down the server, replace server.exe, replace think.exe, delete clients.dat, then start them all back up and you are rolling, and it will tell you when a job is stalled on any client (just not which one) it now refreshes every 5 minutes or less.

Problem he said, tho I didn't run into it was queue server unlock issues. I'm now running 1.21c for both, very nice little changes.

Or, you can forget all of this and just let update do it after 11:30 GMT (should be now) hit the recieve button and it will do all that for you.
