Kids [FaD] Many WU's being run together.

My slowest box has decided to run three WUs simultaneously.

Started just running two at time. Fair enuff.

Now has three on the go.

I don't really see this as a problem... Yet.

Comment? Maybe just dopey cow?

Nah, not a problem - THINK is designed to use as much CPU power as you can give it.

Depending on what you put in your control panel for CPU size, will influence this. I read in the FaD forums that giving double your actual CPU size is best, as it lets THINK d'load a few extra WU's so it doesn't run out of work waiting for new ones.

At least, I think that's what happens. Try the FaD forums if you think it is a problem.

Cheers
Mick

Mick I've stacked up what I think [no pun] this lot can sensibly digest. Tailored the diet for individual m/cs.

It just that one of these m/cs is trying to crunch three at time.

The queue looks like a [dogs] cows breakfast!?

Thought I might wean it off some.

But not sure how?

hmm

That's pretty strange. Never happened to me :P

I'd just let it run, probably solves itself. There's some setting on the max number of clients you can run. You have to adjust it in some text file, not in the GUI.

I'll see if I can find some more info.

Well, this braindead bucket of bolts now has 4 WUs on the go!

It probably shouldnt be a problem, but it is not really a great box.
333 Celery/64M.

I dont really want to stop any of the WUs it has going.
Afterall they take so long on this thing.

Might toss this one into the FaD Forum.
