FAD client and stats

I'm trying the client on one machine and it seems to run okay but I don't like the thought of manual installs. Can it be installed as a service natively? Can it be installed over the network automatically (like via scripts)?

Where are the the FAD stats pages? I checked the FAD forum and a couple other sources over the last couple days but no working stats have been found.

Can't install as a service yet for clients. Firedaemon doesn't even run a client (can get it to run as a service with Firedaemon on a standalone by loading loader.exe, but I can't get that to work over a network with Firedaemon yet )

But you can install on any client via fadsetup.exe to run after login. Just run fadsetup.exe from the server dir on the client, and click save. It'll ask iof you want to set up as a client or other. Should share the FAD dir from the server to do this most neatly (needs read/write access)

It does load files on the client, but basically not much. You can run the tray icon as hidden if you want (select that under options in fadsetup.exe before you save.

Stats as dead at FAD at present They are working on fixing them, but have been down for about 10 hours now I think.

XPC keeps tabs on stats so check there if you can't get stats at FAD.

Any more questions, just ask.

Cheers
Mick
