Well actually, my friend, you don't witness a cremation (thankfully!)
I can well understand the confusion, though...this culture has a weird fascination with death. As though our spiritual needs (at the loss of a loved one) will be met by an orchestrated
(and very fake and expensive) show...(i.e., funeral)
Here's the deal:
"That's All, Folks!"
And you get a box of ashes, and you handle 'em your own way.
I don't mean to seem callow, I just honestly do not understand any other way of dealing with it.
