Thanks for the explanation Graham i thought for one moment there, you was having a pop at me, What a ploncker i am at times eh.
Interesting point though the spelling, how do we know how it is spelt, i mean, i am not a highly educated person as is clear to all, but the word Ploncker i would not have thought would be in any Dictionary. Even if it were i very much doubt it would be the word ploncker as used in the context we use it . (To mean a foolish person). it is a colloquial word - Slang - a word of the common man - well at least of this common man.
But out of respect to your good self i will henceforth spell it PLONKER.
BTW - did you not watch TV over Xmas? the dynamic duo DEL and ROD did make a return, the first of three new episodes, i don’t know when the other two will be shown but they must be worth watching out for. All though to be honest it was not quite up to their usual standard, but well worth watching non the less.
Just thinking Graham, if you plonked some thing down you would be a plonker so the word may well be in a dictionary but in a differant context.
