Banned from TechIMO for selling pirated software.

shahani was a long time and trusted member of TechIMO.
Posting and Trading here since Oct 2001.

This is why I feel I owe a detailed explanation to everyone.

He knew the consequences of his actions. He knew the Rules.

This member was not banned for the reasons he is stating on other forums, so unfortunately he has forced me to address his story.
The story he is spreading regarding being banned because he was trying to help someone out is not what happened here at TechIMO.
I read him publically saying he was misunderstood by a member and it was further misrepresented as to what he said in the PM in a community thread.
Other members are claiming someone set him up.
This is not true.

He was banned for selling and soliciting ILLEGAL SOFTWARE.

He was banned for SELLING copies of ILLEGAL SOFTWARE to a long time reputable member.

He lied in his thread stating "All original Microsoft Cd's with CD keys". He lied to us when he was questioned. The thread is now archived.

Some of the software he offered in the thread was purchased by a senior member and it turned out to be copies with cracks for the Authorization code on floppy disks.
There are pictures, there is proof.

This was not released to the public until the member who unknowingly bought the illegal software was able to resolve the matter as best as could, considering the circumstances.

The information is now in Microsoft's hands. Including pictures of all the software disks in question along with floppies that include the cracks.
