Again with the comparison to america with another invader coming in. I am not sure where the two are even remotely related.

Lets compare the scenario. America has a much higher satisfaction rate with their government then did the Iraqis. Probably in part because the governement was killing their own population by the 10's of thousands directly and hundreds of thousands indirectly every year.

America you have some voice in the goings on. iraq you were killed if your voice did not agree with the leader.

So I china came into america with the promise of giving us their form of government . I believe americans would be pissed in general.

Now had americans of old like those in the colonies been treated as poorly as the Iraqis they would probably have welcomed an america esq government coming in and kicking the good old merry kings butt.

of course being one of the first democratic republics the likelyhood of another country liberating the soon to be USA and giving them free reign were limited. So it was on the people to start and fight the war.

Iraqis had tried this several times and were thrown to the wolves. They probably worry about it happening again. and in all likelyhood if the UN is put in charge 3 or 4 car bombs will insure that prophecy. Likewise if most of the democratic hopefuls get in power the iraqis fears will come to light.
