lol, I knew this was coming. Where does anyone say anything about removing anyone's precious porn??
For my part I simply said there needs to be a way to SEGMENT the internet somewhat so that little kids dont try to look up book report info on the white house accidentally type in the wrong url and see more than they bargained for.
I cant see there being too many parents who can sit for 3 hrs a day monitoring their kids...nor does the average parent or user have a CLUE how to block access etc.
Lots of double standards happening right now. You walk into a store, they have the little cardboard thingys covering the front of the "adult" mags....but not on the internet.
It would also be nice if the porn lovers only would recieve all the porn related spam..since they are the ones who are into it.
Is full hardcore action available on any tv channel any time of the day???
Is it any harder for a kid to click a link than it is for him to flip a tv channel??
people pretty much have to pay extra to receive adult oriented channels on tv dont they? (im not sure, I dont watch tv nor do I have cable tv)
So how is it we saw fit to limit what is available on tv channels and we leave the internet wide open???
The local blockbuster video doesnt seem to be allowed to have hardcore xxx stuff....why not?? whats the difference between that and the internet having it available for all?? So there should at least be a way to segment it off.
Yes, I know the child porn dudes need to make a living also...and the beastiality people..of course we dont want to upset the beastiality workers union or anything...but there needs to be some way to "opt out" of such things for school networks, workplaces etc etc. Same as there should be ways to opt out of spam and telmarketers.
Besides. We all seem to be forgetting that kids arent ready to make all their own decisions yet...if you let a 12 year old make all of his own decisions, hehe....uhh, it wont play out too well.
