TV Tuner Sound out of sync
Here is my computer setup
Motherboard - ASUS P4S8X-X
Graphics Card - ATI ALL-IN-WONDER 9000 PRO in AGP Slot
Operating System - Windows 2000
Sound - SoundMax Onboard sound
CPU - Pentium 2.4GHZ 533FSB
Memory - 512MB PC2700 Corsair RAM
Hard Drive - 60GB Maxtor 7200RPM hardrive
Monitor - NEC MultiSync LCD 1760V connected through ANALOG
DirectX 9.0
Using a Timewarner Direct TV Cable box. The COAX cable goes from that, into the graphics card.
The Problem I am having is my sound is out of sync when using the TV feature of ATI Multimedia Center Version 8.1. The sound is before the video. The sound is in sych when using my DVD to watch a video. The DVD sound is connected straight to the motherboard. The Graphics card sound output is plugged into the line in jack. The line in jack of the audio is then connected to my receiver.
What I have tried to fix this.
I have uninstalled all 3rd party software that would affect sound.
I was originally using directX 8 and it didn't work. I upgraded to 9.0
I connected a VCR with a video/audio input of the graphics card. That was also out of sync.
I used the AUDIO/VIDEO RCA outputs on the cable box, to connect to the graphics card input, bypassing the COAX. The sound was still out of sync.
I emailed ATI and they were of no help at all. I was hoping somebody would be able to shed some light on this situation. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
- John
