IT WORKS IT WORKS!!!
Flashing the BIOS worked! Runs awesome! Thank you so much! Something about hyper threading support I guess in the BIOS, it crapped out when trying to switch control to Windows.
Now just to find out where in the world I put those RAM sticks I thought were bad???
BTW, I feel like an idiot, the drive itself wasn't failing, it was the disk; problem was I didn't have a backup disk handy to try it out...finally managed to lay hands on one, and works just fine. Go figure...
Also helps if you have the cable plugged in the *right* way, otherwise doesn't work too well at all!
