If you want to save yourself the future hassle, you can install the recovery console while the machine is working normally. This is a HUGE help if anything goes wrong.

You will need the XP install disk, open a command prompt and goto the i386 directory in the install source. Once there run "winnt32 /cmdcon" and it will prompt you about installing the recovery console. It will then be one of the startup options when you boot.
