Oops, your right. I had my Amount value wrong in the equation.

Here is the correct one:

(P)(B)=A

Percentage x Base = Amount

You need the percentage of decrease...it's unknown, Let it = X.
Your base amount is $2323.14.
And your Amount of the decrease is $1886.04.

sooooo,

2323.14(x) = 1886.04

Divide both sides by the coefficient of X. This leaves you with....

0.81184947958366693354683746997598

To change this to a percentage just multiply by 100.

81.184947958366693354683746997598%
or approximatly
81.2%
