Thanks for trying, Harold7. On buy.com, I do not see SmartMedia formats that are > 128 megs. For all the other card formats (e.g. Memory Stick, Compact Flash, etc), I definitely see >256 megs, but I need SmartMedia format memory cards. (aka SSFD cards, as per this link). I'm not trying to be lazy, this is a plea because I have not found such large capacity cards, despite searching every few days...

With just a couple 512 MB cards you could overwhelm yourself with pictures... unless you plan on taking more than 600 pictures, wouldn't two 512 MB smart cards be all you should need?
Even one, just one card.... 2.1 Megapixels jpeg files should be over 600 hundred shots on one 512 meg card.
You see, I do not want to swap cards - these things are too small that I might lose the one 'spare' card (along with the contents - hundreds of photos). If the 512 meg card is never full and stays in the camera, there shouldn't be a risk of losing the card! I have not seen any of these capacities at pricewatch (for SmartMedia format cards). I believe that the card format has hit its maximum capacity at 128 Megs, so this is probably a moot point; I also cannot find any tech papers that discuss the SmartMedia capacity shortcoming.

If it ever comes to pass, it'll be a hot item, IMO.
