Erg, you're gonna want a warranty with a hard drive. Drives even fail in a year (like the 80Gig I got for christmas ).

I've found the 8mb cache really doesn't make a diffrence unless you are transfering/working with large files, or are using the swap file extensively. I would like to say I see a diffrence, but I really don't in my everyday work (surfing the net, e-mail, downlaoding, game playing, sometimes playing with gmax and winmorph, and, of using Microsoft Office (I know, M$ is evil and crap. But other than WordPerfect, I really haven't found much better than Office 97)).

Of course, if speed really matters that much, go one step further into the wonderful world of SCSI drives. Only *slightly* more expensive
