As mickwish said, you already own PC Anywhere, so you may not be interested, but in the event you get sick of wasting your time with Symantec, check out Remote Administrator. It's much faster and more secure than PC Anywhere, and at $35, it's not a wallet buster. VNC is free, but it's slower and not as secure. Remote Administrator (Radmin) also includes file transfer capability, command line access, and remote shutdown. You can try a fully functional test version for 30 days.

You can even try it for a while and if you like it, you can install the license key remotely.
