Whir, I was considering one of the non-Legacy 2 x 12's. I just didn't know if they were open or closed-back. I'm looking for closed-back for the extra "chug". That Prosonic was advertised as a cross between a vclassic Fender and a flamethrower, and that's about right
the 2 x 10's are amazing, but an added 2 x 12 for outside stuff could sterilize small animals....
Oh, I have some JBL 15's I built with some direct help from JBL on the enclosure dimensions and porting. 3/4" baltic birch ply on the back and sides, 1" on the baffle board. They go far enough up into the mids to be able to use a bi-radial tweeter and no mid driver, and are flat down to 40 Hz (Low E on a bass). I love's 'em and they sound very accurate before you even mess with any EQ. Any final EQ is just to accomodate the venue they're in.
Oh and with the birch ply, they're still light enough for a skinny old codger like me to lift by myself
