The custom work is AMAZING...

I just think there were some REALLY bad colour choices with the solid colours!

All that being said, custom modding is, and always has been down to personal choice?! If you're modding your own machine, just do what YOU enjoy...

(BTW I'm no expert, but modding is personal for me - I've been asked to do cases for family and friends, but I've never advertised or anything, cos I want to do my own mods, for my own taste rather than getting asked or told what mods to do for someone else)
