I meant to mention this in my last post,

When you install NIS 2002/03 be prepared for a bombardment of
"security breaches" and such. It was unreal when I installed it on mine. I'm thinking, if I was actually getting attacked as much as NIS says I am, there is no way I wouldn't be absolutely overrun with viruses, backdoors and other such nuisances.

My take is that NIS fabricates these attacks for the first few hours so you will say "oh, geez, look at how useful this new program is, protecting me from all of these intrusions"

I've always wanted to write the IPs down that it says are attacking, do reverse DNS on them and see if they even exist...
