The difference between chipsets on the two motherboards ( and age, as well ) prolly means that the HAL ( hardware abstraction layer ) will be different between the two machines.

The only way to change the HAL ( that Im aware of ) is to reinstall the operating system.

I'm far from a 2k guru, however, so someone else may have better insight. . . .
