Thanks for the quick response. I've been trying for a few hours to reply but my cable is down (on dialup backup - back to the old days) - all the while I thought it was something I was doing to the router

To answer your question, yes, I was able to wake the computer and run VCN on the LAN without a problem after I followed your directions

From the last post of yours, I was able to get into the router setup and configure port mapping you mentioned. Until adelphia is back up and running in my area I won't know if it works. I mapped the first one to port 7, second to port 5900. I'll give that a try later when I can get online without alll of that old fashioned screeching
