I thought the ability to write on the disc with the laser was a pretty cool feature...until I read up on it. You can only write on an area of the disc that has no data. IOW you can't fill up a CD, and especially can't overfill it and overburn it and still be able to print on it. I usually fill my CDs to capacity so it'd be a useless feature for me.
