This is why i hate building computers for people.
I bought a machine from IBUYPOWER.com and it came with a MSI KT3 ULTRA motherboard. well the neighbors bought a Lexmark x63 printer. (
didn't even ask for my advice as i would of told them to stay the hell away from lexmarks.)
so i load up winxp, then i install the printer. usb detected install the software and drivers. reboot and it puts an icon in the taskbar. i double click the icon to do a test page, and the damn thing pops up a message saying that the device is busy, please try again later.
uhhh nooo i want to print NOW
i tried both usb slots, even the usb 2.0 slots with the same results. the drivers are supposedly workable with winxp.
i go into the printer options, and click on usb port config and it says there is an error.
anyone have any info? i wish i could throw it out the window
lexmark tech support has more than helpful in the sistuation
