Ok, here is the fix...

1. Go to Run and type [regedit[/b]

2. Click on the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and then press CTRL+F

3. Now type in the type of file you would like to enable thumbnail view. (i.e. avi, mpg, mpeg, asf, and so on

4. If you typed in avi in the find function bt pressing CTRL+F, the avi key will already be highlighted. Now you must created a key named PersistentHandler and in the key folder, you must created a New String Value named (Default) with the value data that says {098f2470-bae0-11cd-b579-08002b30bfeb} by selecting Edit\New\String Value.

5. Now you must create a key named ShellEx. And in the key folder, create another key and name it {BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}. In this key folder, you must now created a String Value named (default) with the value data that says {c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}....

You can repeat this procedure for other video file that support thumbnail preview...
