hmmmm....the negative after-effects:
Crabby economy.

Airport inconviniences - well you gotta admit that it was way easier to just go and meet the person who's either flying out or arriving, at the gate. I don't think this privilege will ever come back. I'm not even talking about long lines for searching, I'm complaining about how LAX, for example, doesn't have a restaurant, newsstand, or a burger stand, anywhere except in the restricted area. So when you wait for people, and their flight is delayed, you better bring yourself some food or else you'll starve.
