How you've configured your BIOS settings or POWER SCHEMES may be the reason for the delay in booting up. Two things to look at.
Check your BIOS settings.
In POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP, select POWER MANAGEMENT and press ENTER key.
In the expanded menu, check the following entries -
POWER MANAGEMENT
Set this to USER DEFINE
HDD POWER DOWN
DISABLE this one
DOZE MODE
DISABLE doze mode
SUSPEND MODE
DISABLE this mode
Next, select WAKE UP EVENTS of POWER MANAGEMENT SETUP and press ENTER key. In WAKE UP EVENTS menu, these should be the settings
VGA - Off
LPT & COM - LPT/COM
HDD & FDD - On
PCI MASTER - Off
POWERON by Keyboard - Enabled
POWERON/RESUME by PCI Card - Disabled
POWERON/RESUME by LAN/Ring - Disabled
POWERON/RESUME by RTCAlarm - Disabled
PRIMARY INTR - On
IRQs Activity Monitoring - Press ENTER
You should also go through your POWER OPTIONS and check how your POWER SCHEMES are set.
