Korgul, do these boxes have a fixed-size swapfile? If they don't (no min value specified), the Win386.swp file will have a zero length at startup & won't effect the defragmenting. When it's needed, Winders will "start" it at the bottom of your files. Course, a fixed-size or "half" fixed-size swapfile is better.

There's an .inf file on the W98CDrom that can be "installed" & will run Defrag on the next startup before startup progs are loaded. Should work on W95:

Right-click defrag.inf, and choose Install from the menu
The next time you start your computer, Windows will defragment your drive(s) automatically.
