Most tests I have taken indicate the average range to be between 110-120. My interpretation of such a score would be anyone that can recognize and adapt to the academic environment around him(/her)self as required with minimal difficulty.

Last official test I took was in my mid-teens for a state level examination. I scored within the genious range on an exam designed for 4-year college grads. Now at 21, I honestly do not have a clue anymore.

Still, IQ testing proves little to indicate intelligence. I once knew a person which probably couldn't score much above 100 on an IQ test, though he could run circles around ya' when discussing interpretive literature. While he didn't extend the same level of intelligence to other academic aspects, he proved exceptionally gifted in one field of study.
