It's great that you've had good experiences with them. The mark of a good business is not how they perform when things go well, it's how they behave when things don't go well. I've ordered many cheap items from other HK resellers via eBay and I've not had problems. In my case, it was a $40+ purchase that they never sent. I would have been forgiving if it was defective. It's how they handle the refund/return/exchange where things go completely off the tracks. The item I ordered was not listed as backordered and they never notified me that it wasn't shipping until AFTER I contacted them. They just quietly took my money and went silent. Of course after I started asking questions they responded right away. But it was all kinds of useless. I kept asking for a refund and they kept dragging their feet. Until I made a scene on here, I got NOTHING. 5 months from my payment to the refund. True story.

If you buy an item for $1.50 that ships thousands of miles for free, what do you really expect to get? Buy.com or Amazon-type service? There are MUCH worse retail sites than DealExtreme out there. They do a great job for the prices they offer and the presumably incredible order volume they must have. |
