bmoore867 is on a distinguished road
Unbeatablesales.com distributes pirated software. I legitimately purchased Windows XP through the Amazon site and what they sent me is an OEM version that clearly states on the package "only to be sold with a new PC" and had no authentication certificate attached. When my son tried to install it on his Mac (albeit several months after we bought it due to him losing screen privileges) it would not work. We discovered, after MANY calls to Microsoft, that this particular disc would ONLY work with the PC it was intended to be sold with. I tried repeatedly to get Unbeatablesales.com to exchange my disc for one that I could actually install and they declined, albeit politely, to help me. So, now what do I do? Microsoft is referring me to the retailer, and the unethical retailer that distributes OEM software has kept my $120 and told me they will do nothing to assist me. HELP! Do I take them to small claims court to get restitution? I only want what I paid for. Any ideas or suggestions? Anyone??
