Techondigital scam
Yep, this is the same scam they ran on me. They offer a product at a low price, you order it, then you get an email saying you have to call to "confirm" your order. This is the tip off! When you call, they try to pressure you to buy high priced memory cards, service contracts, or other accessories you don't want or need. When you refuse, they give you an abrupt "good by and enjoy your product," and then you never hear from them again. When you call to check on your order, they tell you it is back ordered, despite the fact that it is still being advertised for sale on their site and listed as being "in stock."
The only way to deal with these scam artists (now there's a term used loosely) is to contact the sites that they link to, such as Google, Amazon, Everyprice, Pricescan, etc., and tell them what's happening so they can remove these clowns from their site. Unfortunately, they will just come back under another name, and as long as they can con a few unsuspecting buyers, they're going to stay around. It takes rating sites like this to help educate buyers to these scams! Caveat emptor!
