I tried to buy a tomtom GO 920 GPS for techondigital's advertised price of $209.00. As soon as I placed the order over the internet and received a confirmation email I got a phone call from "William" allegedly to confirm my order. As it turned out the real purpose of his call was to sell me a very expensive SD card by saying I needed the card for the GPS to operate. When I declined William became mean and insulting. Long story short, they canceled my order by saying the GPS was "on back order for six 6 to 8 weeks". Further, the cancellation email told me not to order again. They have continued to advertise the same GPS for the same price every day since they told me it was on back order. What a rip off.
The only way to fight this is to complain to the NY Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection, 120 Broadway, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10271, telephone 212-416-8345, FAX 212-416-8787. I believe techondigital is located at 83 Avenue O, Brooklyn, NY 11204. If they get enough complaints they will take action, but you have to complain. Don't take this sitting down and let these guys continue to get rich by scamming would be customers
