Add my name to the list of people scammed by this outfit. $305 plus tax/free shipping for a Garmin Nuvi 750 at Techon Digital - I should have known it was too good to be true. My first clue that this was a scam came after I placed my order online and got an email asking me to call and confirm my order. When I called, I spoke to the same obnoxious jerk described in other posts trying to upsell me on ridiculously overpriced accessories. When I started asking questions like why they were charging so much for a memory card ($120 for something I can get for $25) the sales rep became abusive. I asked him to cancel my order and he hung up on me. I called back and spoke to someone else, who canceled my order and sent an email confirmation of the cancelation. Then I called my credit card company and canceled my credit card. Today I went back to Everyprice.com to find the listing, so I can complain to the site about false user ratings - and surprise, surprise, Techondigital.com is no longer listed.
I learned an important lesson: don't trust "independent" ratings on Everyprice.com or other shopping comparison sites. Go to CNET and other reputatable sites for seller reviews. And if it looks too good to be true, IT IS!
