Poor Customer Service
Same experience as the other posters. We also received an email from thedigitalnerds.com asking us to call and confirm the order. When we did, the CS rep tried to sell us memory for the camera. When we asked if the camera would "work out of the box", he said "it's just like a car, if you don't put gas in it, it will not run." When we told him that we would shop around for memory, he bluntly said "OK, we will ship your order" and hung up before we could ask further questions.
It had already been two business days since we placed the order online, but there was no indication that it had been shipped. We were threatened by customer service just because we called back a couple of times to verify when the order would be shipped out. The CS rep said, "You are wasting our time and our resources by calling back. You should call back to speak to shipping tomorrow. I am warning you, if you call one more time, I am cancelling your order. That is a warning to you." He hung up as promptly as he had done on each of the previous calls. So, after cooling down for a few minutes, I called back about 5 minutes later, and when CS answered, I told them I was calling to cancel my order. He asked for my order number and also asked "why?", but before I could tell him why, he asked if this was [my name]. When I replied "yes", he very bluntly said, "Your order is cancelled" and hung up.
I have NEVER been treated so poorly by customer no-service (as Clark Howard says). Please beware of this company. I am following others' advice and will be calling 1-800-FTC-HELP in the morning.
