Hello Prospective Customers,
I am here to warn strongly against using the ShopSunshine website or company to purchase anything. I am currently employed with the military and am on a base in the middle of Afghanistan as I am writing this. I placed an order with this company on 7 January 2007 for a Nikon D80 camera package it has offered on EBay. As of today January 26 2007, I have yet to receive and confirmation of a ship date for this purchase. I have sent several emails, some not so nice I will admit since I have been ignored consistently. I have talked to them on the phone as well. The only thing they will tell me on the phone is that it has shipped but no date that it was shipped out on. This package was about 1400 USD. Maybe to some people that is not a lot of money but to me it is a good deal. I would expect that no matter the price, any company with the least bit of professionalism or concern about their customers would be attentive to the customer and keep them updated on the progress of the order regularly or at the least when the customer asks.
I have requested to either have the shipped on date sent to me or to have my money refunded so I may obtain what I want from a company that is willing to do business the way it is supposed to be done. I cannot tell you why this company is the way it is but I can relate my experience to anyone researching this company. It may cost you 10 or 20 dollars more elsewhere but the sense of satisfaction with the customer service and the overall confidence that you will receive your order is well worth it.
I see there are some posts here stating they have had no problems with their orders and that is good however is the goal of a successful retail business to provide the customer with a satisfactory experience, the lowest price, and best quality merchandise available? Even though there are many satisfied people posting. Does the fact that there are also many others posting "Horrific" experiences with them say something. I say it does. I wish I would have read these places before I purchased and saved myself some time and aggravation not to mention the loss of money I have worked very hard to get. I don’t expect you to not shop just because of my post but do yourself a favor and make sure you research this company very well before purchasing. I have sent my latest email to them today and pasted a copy to the bottom of this post for all to see. I will be updating it every 24 hours to let you all know the progress and service you should expect.

My name is Ben Massey and I placed an order from your store via the phone on January 07th 2007. As you can see it is now The 26th and I have received no notification of the shipped date on my item. A Nikon D80 package from EBay. I ended up spending a total of $1,357.98 on this item purchasing an extended warranty etc.. I have written emails to you several times via
www.shopsunshine.com and have received but one reply stating they will look into the tracking number and send it to me. This email was 7 days ago and have heard nothing since then even after sending in more emails asking again. I have called your store, a very obnoxious man who's name I do not remember put me on hold to look up my order and obviously forgot me or never intended to look in the first place because 20 minutes later another person named Jason (I think) answered and asked me if I have been helped. He was much more polite and seemed to be genuinely interested in carrying out this most basic of functions when running a business. All he would tell me is that it has shipped but no date it shipped on and hung up.
I do not expect a tracking number from you as I am currently working on a small military base in the middle of Afghanistan so my package will ship regular mail and I know would take a bit longer to reach me. However the thing that really infuriates me is that there is no concern whatsoever shown by your employees to the following up once someone has spent their money with you. I would like to know WHEN my package was shipped. If it has not for some reason the I would at the very least expect some sort of notification as to why that is and when it will ship. If these simple requests can not be met then I would like your company to refund my purchase in full and I will gladly take my business somewhere that is willing to show the level of professionalism I think the customer deserves. I have taken the day off of work to spend it surfing the web and rating your company / website for the experience that has resulted from this transaction. I found this email address on
www.resellerratings.com and will posting this message along with some other comments there and everywhere else I can find on the net that is taking comments from customers. I think of myself to be a fair and objective person but this transaction without a doubt has been the most pitiful online shopping experience I have ever had.
